Acyclovir, active ingredient of CYCLOVIRAN®, inhibits the viral enzyme DNA polymerase of herpes virus and therefore its proliferation.
CYCLOVIRAN® 10g cream is indicated for the treatment of immunosufficient patients with an intact immune system and skin infections caused by herpes simplex virus, including new onset and recrudescent genital herpes and cold sores.
